Developed in partnership with the Pueblo of Santa Ana, Tamaya's architecture draws directly on Pueblo design traditions — adobe-style forms, timber and viga details, and a setting on the Rio Grande's bosque with unobstructed Sandia Mountain views. Many Tamaya weddings use more than one space in a single day — a mountain-view ceremony at the Cottonwood Pavilion followed by a ballroom reception in the Tamaya Ballroom, timed so guests experience it as one smooth evening rather than two disconnected events.

Tamaya sits on the Pueblo of Santa Ana's tribal land, about 25 minutes north of Albuquerque International Airport — close enough for easy guest travel, remote enough to feel like a true retreat. Some vendor and photography permissions follow the Pueblo's own guidelines in addition to the resort's standard policies, which is worth confirming early in planning.
